bulletCanada's CBC starts first color television broadcasting.  Thanks to my Grandfather, we had been watching black and white TV for a few years already.  Years before cable vision, he installed an antennae on top of a huge pole in our front yard, and picked up a signal bounced off a mountain North of our town.  The TV station was in Spokane Washington, we were 600 miles away in the heart of the Rocky Mountains
