The first message 'login', was typed in l...o... the autocomplete (a term from the distant future) was supposed to fill in the rest, but a memory buffer overflowed, crashing the system.

A increase to the buffer size, and the first connection was successfully made.

bulletI was 'glued' with the rest of the world watching the moon events.

bulletOn the day of the 1969 test of a nuclear test in Amchitka Island 10,000 protesters blocked a major US-Canadian border crossings, carrying placards which read: "Don't Make a Wave. It's Your Fault if Our Fault Goes".
Fortunately the test passed without earthquakes or tidal waves but local opposition was primed, so such an extent that when the US announced plans for a 5.2 megaton test at Amchitka in 1971, people were already galvanized for another series of protests.

bulletWoodstock Music And Arts Fair opens on Max Yasgur's farm for three days of peace, love, and music (August 15)   Woodstock happened, and I knew nothing about it.  It wasn't until about six months later, hearing the album, that I realized what I had missed!
