These guys really remind me of Doug
and the Slugs |
|
| INXS |
I remember seeing these guys
before they were famous, outside Australia any way. We knew back
then they were going places. Saw them is some bar in the 'burbs'
of Sydney |

| AC/DC |
 |
Before arriving in Australia, I had
heard and heard of AC/DC. I thought they were a loud, raunchy
American band. Boy was I wrong, cause when I got to Sydney man did I
hear some great Rock and Roll. Back in Black was supposed to be the
last AC/DC album, after the death of Bon Scott. It was my first and
most loved album. |

Enz |
 |
The Enz ended and went on to become
Crowded House. I lost touch with the band after that but I'm
sure the 'Finns' are still in the business somewhere. |
|
| The Angels |
 |
They went to America and became
Angel City. Can't find any trace of them but still looking. |

| The Church |
|
Unguarded Moment! |
|
| Icehouse |
 |
They were Flowers
in there somewhere as well, as well as Hothouse
Flowers, due to aname conflict with a Lesbian band in the US. |
|
| Paul Kelly |
 |
Paul used to be in some other Aussy band but can't
remember. He was with the Messengers when I first started listening
to him |
|
| My Sex |
Melbourne band, still listen to their tape once in
a while. I have most of these bands on vinyl |

I never did get a chance to hear the 'hooks' live or see them as
they had broken up by the time I arrived in Australia in 1980,
but they were a great band. |
